interictal religious experience
The term interictal religious experience is indebted to the Latin words inter (in between) and ictus (thrust, blow). It is used to denote a religious experience taking place in between two or more epileptic seizures. This experience may take the form of a "religious hallucination or illusion, but this is not necessarily the case. The term interictal religious experience is used in opposition to the terms "ictal religious experience and " postictal religious experience.
